ThermaClear, produced and marketed by Therative Inc., differs to some other acne treatments on the market in that it is an electrical treatment device that works on acne infected skin by releasing a short focused beam of heat. This is a thermal pulse that manufacturer claims to penetrate through the skin layers targeting and destroying the bacteria underneath that brings on the acne. They claim that acne and blemishes are cleared some 2 times faster than other conventional treatments.
How Does ThermaClear Work?
The ThermaClear device uses a patented system called Thermal Pulse Technology to send a closely controlled burst of heat through the skins surface into the infected areas; it works in a similar way to the laser treatments carried out by professional dermatologists. The operation of the ThermaClear unit is quite simple; place the application tip of the unit onto the spot or pimple in question and push the button; it sends a quick 2 second burst of energy into the spot, making the treatment quick, convenient and easy with no mess.
The manufacturer claims that this product will banish spots and pimples as they appear, with none of the long term and messy applications of gels, creams and lotions associated with other preparations that can take up to 8 weeks to show any real effect. ThermaClear is reputed to provide healing thermal energy without causing any skin dryness whatsoever.
ThermaClear also manufacture and supply more normal acne care treatments such as cleansing pads, lotions and an acne gel that contains benzoyl peroxide as its active ingredient. They do not give any information on the ingredients breakdown or any other factor regarding these treatments.
With regard to side effects of using the ThermaClear system, some users find the actual heat a bit too intense, there have been reports of pimples actually being burst by the heat when on the hotter settings, and general reports are that it is not too effective on severe acne cases such as cystic acne and also whiteheads (comedomes).
